@dougdevos: Germanwings Crash Exposes History of Denial on Risk of Pilot Suicide - http://NYTimes.com - http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/04/19/world/europe/germanwings-plane-crash-andreas-lubitz-lufthansa-pilot-suicide.html?emc=edit_th_20150419&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=59712099&_r=0&referrer= This is frightening!
This is a must read for all who are interested, suspicious, amazed, by this tragic occurrence.
It now appears that this type of suicidal behavior amongst airline pilots is not as uncommon as it first appeared when this awful event was reported.
I was suspicious of the whole affair & thought that something was being held back in the various reports. But I expected something too obvious: a political motive by the co-pilot. I was wrong! Read this article! I was right in thinking that there was more to the explanations than were given, but wow! The twin facts that a) it's not as uncommon as we were led to believe; & b) little has been done by the world's airlines to remedy the situation together reduces your confidence in flying!
